Kyana Parkinson was born in Brooklyn, New York and has lived in Las Vegas for the last five years. She is a third-year undergraduate student at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice After graduating in Spring of 2023, she plans to attend graduate school and obtain a master’s in criminology. It is within her interests to then work with the local government or the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Kyana is looking forward to conducting research in the Tourism Safety and Crowd Science lab, in hopes to develop the skills and knowledge to help improve the Las Vegas Community.
