Kurt Hanson is a seasoned finance and business professional with over 22 years of experience in business development, wealth management, financial planning, and private equity. He received both his BSBA in Marketing and MBA from UNLV and now is in his sixth year as a part-time instructor at the Lee Business School, teaching the capstone BUS 496, Strategic Management & Policy course. Originally from Utah, he moved to Las Vegas in 1998 where he utilized his fluency in Japanese to support various international travel and consulting ventures. He has served on multiple for-profit and nonprofit boards, including past tenures as president of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) and the Japan America Society of Southern Nevada (JASN). Deeply committed to the Las Vegas community, he lives here with his wife and five children (including triplets). He loves the outdoors, is an avid sports fan and passionate supporter of the Vegas Golden Knights.
