Kevin was born in the Philippines, and at 17, he immigrated to the United States. Since then, he has studied art and literature, receiving his AA in fine arts from the College of Southern Nevada and his B.A. and MA in English from UNLV. He has taught courses in composition, research, art, Tagalog, and ESL. Currently, he is pursuing an M.S. in library and information science at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Since 2018, he has been teaching COLA 100E to help students explore and prepare for potential academic and professional pathways.
