Kendra Antill earned her Ph.D. in special education. Prior to her time at UNLV, she was a special education teacher in the Clark County School District. Her years in the classroom shape her approach to teacher preparation. She strives to create authentic, practical, and interactive learning experiences that equip undergraduate and graduate candidates for the realities of modern classrooms.

Central to Antill’s work is a dedication to bridging the research-to-practice gap. Her research agenda focuses on supporting families of children with disabilities, integrating augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) in the classroom, and leveraging students' funds of knowledge to build inclusive, culturally responsive instruction. Through her integrated teaching and scholarship, she works to cultivate skilled, empathetic educators and stronger family-school partnerships.
