Biography

Kelly H. Webber is a registered and licensed dietitian and a visiting associate professor in the Department of Environmental and Occupational Health. She earned an MPH and Ph.D. in Public Health Nutrition from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Webber has taught nutrition and public health for over 12 years. She has also been a researcher in the areas of nutrition, obesity, behavior change, and food security which involved implementation and evaluation of numerous interventions to promote healthy weight and prevent chronic disease among adults. Her research has been funded by the CDC, USDA, and NIH. Webber was previously an extension faculty member and director of the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) in the state of Nevada. In that position she supported local college food pantries and implemented a food security nutrition education curriculum with college students. Webber currently teaches PBH 205: Introduction to Public Health.
