I currently teach Biol 453 Immunology and Biol 189 Introduction of Biological Sciences. Previous courses taught are Cell Biology, Genetics, and Biotechnology Research Methods. My pedagogic interest is implementing methods to compel students to actively participate in scientific problem solving. Methods used are daily Learning Objective development, in-class clicker technology, in-class and online quizzes, journal club style literature review, group test taking, "speaking science" using Voice Thread, biology animation analysis, and others. Developing inquiry-based curricula for my courses is an ongoing challenge and priority.
