Biography
Katheryn Brekken is an assistant professor of research with the MGM Resorts Public Policy Institute at UNLV in the School of Public Policy and Leadership and Greenspun College of Urban Affairs. Her research focuses on public policy and intergovernmental relations, in particular: education, workforce development and socioeconomic mobility. She has over a decade of experience in public affairs. Over the years, Katheryn has helped develop and evaluate policies and programs for various public and nonprofit organizations and testified before legislative bodies on matters of higher education policy. She is published in various academic journals including Politics & Policy, Community College Journal of Research & Practice, and State and Local Government Review.
