Biography

Karl Bennison retired as Chief of Enforcement in September 2019 after serving 25 years with the Nevada Gaming Control Board (GCB). Karl began his career with the Board in 1994 as an Agent in the GCB’s Reno office, enforcing gaming laws and regulations and arbitrating disputes. He worked his way through the ranks with assignments including the Enforcement Division’s Special Investigations section and various supervisory positions. Karl also served for a period as a Senior Research Specialist working directly for the Chairman of the GCB. He was appointed Chief of Enforcement in Las Vegas in 2013.

Karl currently consults and speaks on gaming regulatory enforcement and sport integrity related matters. He is also on the Advisory Board of US Integrity.

Karl has a BA in Criminal Justice and an MBA, both from the University of Nevada. He is a graduate of the FBI National Academy. He also completed the Harvard Kennedy School Executive Education course – Strategic Management of Regulatory and Enforcement Agencies.
