Karim was born and raised in Las Vegas and has seen the area grow from a small town to the thriving city it has become. He attended UNLV and received a degree in business management from Western Governors University. His background includes many years in business development and managing sales teams for numerous companies in the Las Vegas area. He also served on the board of directors for the Las Vegas Hospitality Association and the Las Vegas Chapter of Speedway Children's Charity, helping raise money for scholarships and various charities in the local area. In his spare time, you can find him on a golf course, at the racetrack, or cheering on the Stanley Cup Champion Golden Knights.
