Karen Fawcett joined University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) in August 2026 as an administrative assistant III for the School of Nursing, providing administrative support for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program.

Originally from Warwick, RI, Karen relocated after enlisting in the U.S. Air Force, where she served as a computer operator. Following her military service, she settled in Las Vegas and earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from UNLV. Her professional background includes experience with the Clark County School District, where she worked as both a special education teacher and an office specialist, bringing a diverse skill set in education, administration, and student support.
