Kahlen Coss
Biography
Coss is a second year criminal justice major with a minor in philosophy with a concentration in law and justice. She will be graduating this fall on the pre-law track with hopes of attending law school the following August and becoming a prosecutor. As a senator, Coss did extensive work on the Ways & Means funding cycle in the 55th session as she served as the vice chair, assisting the chair in completing the funding cycle before the session ended. Notably, they accomplished the first ever Ways & Means "marathon" meeting in which 30 RSOs (registered student organizations) were scheduled to receive funding all in a single committee meeting. The rest of this session (56), she hopes to continue her contributions to Ways & Means as well as write legislation/resolutions she deems necessary. Coss is also placing emphasis on growing a tighter-knit Urban Affairs community through mixers, tabling events, and more staff unity. Other than CSUN, she spends most of her time growing the Phi Alpha Delta pre-law fraternity organization (serving as their vice president), participating in the Pre Law Women of UNLV, and Criminal Justice Club.
