Biography

Lt Col Williams earned his commission through AFROTC in 1999 with a bachelor of arts degree in English from Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah. He earned his pilot wings at JSUPT, Vance Air Force Base, Oklahoma. Since then he has held a variety of assignments at the squadron and group level, including multiple tours as instructor pilot, evaluator pilot, test pilot, chief of training, chief of scheduling, chief of standardization and evaluation, executive officer, assistant director of operations, detachment commander, and deputy group commander. He served as initial cadre for the RQ-170 and other classified systems, and helped stand up three new ACC organizations. His staff assignments include time as ACC Requirements Branch Chief, MQ-9 Program Element Monitor, RQ-170 Functional Area Manager, and Operations Branch Chief for Advanced Remotely Piloted Aircraft. Lt Col Williams has flown combat and combat support missions in Operations SOUTHERN WATCH, NOBLE EAGLE, ENDURING FREEDOM and IRAQI FREEDOM.
