Jose Gutierrez currently serves as a senator for the College of Sciences and is a member of the Ways & Means and University Initiatives committees. He is majoring in biological sciences with a pre-professional concentration, minoring in Spanish, and is also a part of the Honors College. Jose aspires to attend medical school and pursue a career in anesthesiology. As a senator, Jose wants to connect his constituents with opportunities and resources that can help support their academic, professional, and personal growth. He aims to make the journey for College of Sciences students more accessible and less overwhelming. Through committee work, outreach, and volunteering, Jose actively works to support the broader student body and drive initiatives that enhance the student experience.
