John Shanklin, CFA

Mr. Shanklin has thirty years of investment experience working with institutional investors and investment managers. As an investment consultant he advises institutional clients on asset allocation, investment structure, and manager selection. 

Prior to joining NEPC in 2006, John was a Senior Consultant with Segal Advisors and with Alan D. Biller & Associates. Prior to consulting, John was a relationship manager for Prudential Investment Management and Harris Investment Management..  He is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.

John earned a Master of Management in Finance and Marketing from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management and a B.S. in biology from the University of Illinois.  John is a CFA charter holder and a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designee.  He is the president of the CFA Society of Nevada.
