Jill earned her bachelor of arts in visual art from Winona State University and master of education in curriculum and Iinstruction from the University of Minnesota -Twin Cities. Jill has an extensive academic career reaching back 20+ years. Before coming to UNLV, Jill served as director for advising, tutoring, and student success programs, as well as Chief Student Officer throughout several universities in WI, MN, NV, and CA respectively; all the while still teaching public speaking, first-year seminar, and art classes along the way. As a first-generation college graduate, Jill particularly enjoys working with first-year students, developing student success programming, and mentoring. She has a passion for assisting students and is excited to share her knowledge and experience to help them realize and reach their highest potential. In her spare time, she loves to travel, create art, support animal rescue, and enjoy life with cherished friends and family.
