Biography
Dr. Jennifer Nash is a neurologic physical therapist with more than 20 years of experience serving adults with neurologic and balance disorders. She is a Board-Certified Neurologic Clinical Specialist, a Credentialed Balance and Falls Professional, and a Certified Exercise Expert for Aging Adults. Since joining UNLV in 2018, she has led the program’s neurologic rehabilitation and balance and vestibular curriculum, while advancing service-learning and community-engaged research focused on fall prevention for older adults across Nevada. Her work includes implementing evidence-based programs such as Stepping On, Tai Ji Quan: Moving for Better Balance, Bingocize, and the Otago Exercise Program.
Nationally, Dr. Nash serves as Chair of the ANPT Balance & Falls Special Interest Group and is a co-developer of APTA Geriatrics’ Credentialed Balance and Fall Professional course series. In Nevada, she serves as President of the APTA Nevada Chapter, Chair of the Nevada Goes Falls Free Coalition, and as an APTA Geriatrics State Co-Advocate.
Clinically, Dr. Nash has practiced across acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, and outpatient neurologic rehab. She developed and managed the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health’s outpatient neuro rehabilitation program in Las Vegas prior to joining UNLV. She continues to practice PRN in outpatient neurologic rehabilitation at Dignity Health in Henderson.
