Biography

Jennifer Joy-Cornejo is the Senior Audiologist and faculty lecturer at the UNLV School of Medicine, Department of Otolaryngology

Jennifer is certified in audiology and as a hearing aid specialist by the State of Nevada Pathology, Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensing Boards. She possesses the certificate of clinical competence in audiology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology.

With 20 years of experience, she began her audiology career in Miami, FL. In 1996, she not only completed her audiology fellowship, she then went on to become the audiology clinic supervisor and vestibular lab supervisor and co-founded the Baha clinic in 2001. In 2004, Jennifer moved to Chicago and became the Director of Audiology at the Ear Institute of Chicago where she continued to offer an extensive array of audiology services. While in Miami and Chicago she authored and co-authored articles on Baha and cochlear implants, as well as the audiological aspects of otosclerosis and revision stapedectomy procedures. She moved to Las Vegas to worked as a pediatric audiologist at Nevada Early Intervention Services from 2006 to 2008.

Prior to joining the academic faculty at UNLV, she was full-time faculty with the Department of Surgery, Division of Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery at University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine as of 2008.
