Biography

Associate professor-in-residence Jennifer Gordon joined the Kinesiology and Nutrition Sciences department during fall 2017 as the director of anatomy and physiology where she coordinates and instructs the KIN 223/224 lecture and laboratory classes. She also instructs the graduate level Human Energy Metabolism course.

Gordon’s research interests focus primarily on the environmental physiology among endurance athletes, as well as the pedagogical principles associated with changes in teaching strategies and the assessment of students’ successes following those changes.

Gordon earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the State University of New York at Oneonta, her master’s degree in sport psychology from Georgia Southern University, Statesboro, GA, and her doctoral degree in exercise physiology from Springfield College, Springfield, MA.
