Biography

Jenna Pekny (she/her) is stage and film actor as well as a director and instructor. Some previous acting credits include Swing State (Dani), The Revolutionists (Charlotte), Little Women (Jo), First Date (Casey), and The Full Monty (Georgie). Directing credits include An Ideal Husband; Almost, Maine; and 8 Minutes Left.

Pekny believes storytelling is the best way to communicate ideas to one another because a good story is captivating. And when we’re actually leaning in is when we might just learn that our take on the world is ready to adapt, shift, and mold into something new.

Her training is rooted in Meisner and Chekhov techniques, giving her a strong sense of bringing the imaginary to its truest extent. She trained at MCIAT, a San Diego-based acting studio renowned for integrating these two approaches.

Now, she is proud to be pursuing her MFA in Performance at UNLV. The intersection of creative arts, performance, and language, alongside her love, and frankly need, for genuine human connection makes up the guiding force that empowers her work today. The art that she most aligns with seeks to do something upon those that are kismet enough to have experienced it.
