Jay Gracia is an actor, actor combatant, fight choreographer, educator, and musician born and raised along the border in Brownsville, Texas. He attended the University of Houston after high school and earned a BFA in Acting in May of 2020 where he discovered his love for Shakespeare, voices, and stage combat.

While COVID put a big shift on the future, Gracia took the opportunity to work in various fields like film/TV production work before returning to the Houston scene in 2022.

Some favorite credits include Lysander (A Midsummer Night’s Dream), Peter (Company), Drew (Rock of Ages), Snowboy (West Side Story), and various others.

Gracia is an actor combatant with the Society of American Fight Directors and hopes to certify in all eight weapons and get more training. Before coming to UNLV, Gracia spent the last three years teaching at a suburban high school which led to directing some fun and challenging productions. He looks forward to continuing training at UNLV and making his glued-to-the-TV, video-game-playing, younger self proud.
