Biography

Jasmin Garcia, originally from San Antonio, Texas, has dedicated over a decade to the performing arts. Starting her journey at 11, she discovered her passion for theater, leading her to earn an Associate of Arts degree in Theatre from Palo Alto College. Her true calling emerged during work on the TEXAS! Outdoor Musical, steering her toward the Design and Technology program at West Texas A&M, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in lighting design.

Jasmin has made notable contributions to institutions like the Nevada Conservatory Theatre, Teatro Palo Alto, and the Amarillo Little Theatre. Her portfolio includes successful lighting designs for productions like Cinderella, A Panto for Las Vegas, Turn of the Screw, The Cherry Orchard, and Ring Round the Moon at the Nevada Conservatory Theatre. Residing in Las Vegas, Nevada, she is currently undertaking a Master of Fine Arts in Lighting Design at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. Simultaneously, she contributes as a Lighting & SFX technician for Cirque du Soleil's renowned production, The Beatles' LOVE!

Jasmin aspires to bring her innovative approach to Cirque du Soleil's lighting design, fueling her commitment to artistic excellence. With a down-to-earth attitude, a solid foundation of experience, and a relentless pursuit of knowledge, she is leaving a lasting impact on theatrical lighting design.
