Biography

Jaimi Garlington is a Ph.D. student in Hospitality Administration at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), where she also earned her master’s and bachelor’s degrees in Hospitality. During her undergraduate studies, she completed a minor in Entrepreneurship and is currently pursuing a Graduate Certificate in Business Administration (GCBA) alongside her doctoral program.

With professional experience across food and beverage, events, and theme parks, Jaimi is passionate about creating inclusive and equitable environments within the hospitality industry. Her research explores impression management, digital transformation in service, inclusive excellence, and diversity management, with publications in top-tier journals such as the International Journal of Hospitality Management and the International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management.

Jaimi has actively contributed to university service by serving on multiple search committees, representing the Hospitality College in the Graduate & Professional Student Association (GPSA), participating in the UNLV GPSA Sponsorship Committee, and previously contributing to the NSHE Mental Health Taskforce. She is deeply committed to mentoring students from diverse backgrounds and advancing diversity, equity, inclusion, justice, and belonging (DEIJB) in both higher education and hospitality.
