Biography

 

Jacquelynn Lee, MD, is an assistant professor with the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery with subspecialities in hand, peripheral nerve, plastic, and reconstructive microsurgery. Dr. Lee graduated medical school Summa Cum Laude with research honors and as part of Alpha Omega Alpha from the University of Texas Medical Branch and completed a residency in integrated plastic surgery at the same institution. She then completed a fellowship in hand, microsurgery, and peripheral nerve at Washington University/B-JH/SLCH Consortium, which is an internationally recognized program for treating peripheral nerve and brachial plexus injuries. Dr. Lee’s clinical focus includes complex reconstruction, hand and wrist injuries, and peripheral nerve injuries of the upper and lower extremity.

Dr. Lee has a longstanding record of being active in national committees for the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and has reviewed numerous abstracts and moderated research panels for the general meeting while in residency. She has authored multiple research articles focusing on reconstructive surgery and healthcare quality improvements. Her research and clinical work has been recognized with several accolades through medical school and residency, including the Dean's Award for Research Excellence, Truman G. Blocker MD Best Case Presentation Award, and the Outstanding Surgical Specialties Resident of the Year Award.

Dr. Lee has a passion for patient health education, safety, and quality improvement. She believes that patient engagement is key to successful surgical outcomes, and strives to deliver patient-oriented high quality care in every setting.
