Biography
Professor Heekyung Park is an expert in environmental, water resources, and sustainability engineering with more than 30 years of global experience. As a tenured professor at KAIST, he taught and led research in smart urban infrastructure, disaster resilience, and water/environmental systems. As a licensed PE in Illinois, he also worked on major infrastructure projects worldwide. In leadership roles at KAIST, he expanded global programs and led innovation initiatives, including a proposed KAIST New York City campus at Mayor Bloomberg’s request. He founded a green-tech startup and remains committed to sustainable development and experiential education.
