Favorite Quote: “I am not what happened to me. I am what I choose to become.” — Carl Jung

What I Wanted to be When I Grew Up: I wanted to help people, a teacher or a therapist

Hobbies/Interests: I am an avid Vegas Golden Knights hockey fan. I love traveling with my family and the tranquility of the outdoors, particularly a weekend RV trip, camping, or a day out boating on the lake. I also enjoy photography,  teaching/training, and volunteering in the community.

Favorite Theories, Models, or Research Interests: I believe Systems Theory & Social Learning Theory have a significant impact on how we grow and learn. Additionally, I enjoy utilizing the Motivational Interviewing and the Psychological Empowerment Model to assist others in gaining a sense of control in their own lives. I have interest in many research topics as I love to learn. The subject most interesting to me is the neuroplasticity of the brain in changing the outcomes of adults who have overcome adverse childhood events.
