Brief Description of Professional Background

Heather is a seasoned administrative professional with a wealth of experience spanning over a decade in higher education. Driven by a commitment to continuous growth and professional development, Heather embarked on a transformative journey to further enhance her skill set. Recognizing the strategic value of business acumen in her field, she pursued an MBA degree, immersing herself in the principles of strategic management, finance, and leadership graduating in December 2023. Heather is currently working to obtain her SIE.

What Inspired You to Join the Board?

My experience in the Executive MBA program was truly life changing both personally and professionally. I joined the board to give back to the program that gave so much to me, and to help ensure that future students have access to the same opportunities, resources, and sense of community that shaped my journey.

What Goals or Initiatives Are You Most Passionate About?

I am deeply committed to expanding scholarship opportunities that will support students in perpetuity. I am also passionate about establishing a strong mentorship network that connects current students with alumni.

What Advice Would You Give to Current Students?

Eighty percent of success is simply showing up. Be present, stay engaged, and take full advantage of the people and opportunities around you. The relationships you build and the effort you invest will carry far beyond graduation.
