Biography

Gonzalo Molina-Sieiro earned his Ph.D. in Strategic Management from Florida State University and a MA from Brandeis University. At UNLV, he teaches small business management to undergraduate entrepreneurship majors and strategic management at both the undergraduate and MBA levels.

His research examines how leaders, owners, and advisors shape high-stakes strategic decisions, particularly in mergers and acquisitions. He has published on how ownership and institutions influence international expansion, how advisors affect deal outcomes, and on improving research methods in strategy. His work also explores corporate governance, including how executive and board attributes relate to corporate social responsibility. His research appears in leading journals such as Journal of Management, Leadership Quarterly, and Small Business Economics.
