Gabriella Megyesi-Briese, has worked in the field of English-language teaching as a teacher, teacher educator, and consultant for 25 years, both in the UK and in the US. She gained her MA TESOL/Cambridge DELTA at the University of Cambridge in 2002, and was awarded the International DELTA prize for her results in the final exams.
Ms. Megyesi-Briese has taught in various teaching contexts, from private schools to universities, most recently at the University of California Berkeley Extension. She is an oral examiner for the Cambridge English Main Suite Exams, and has been involved in examination preparations for other international English examinations as well (e.g. TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC).
Ms. Megyesi-Briese contributed to Cambridge University Press publications on teacher education (The CELTA Course, The TKT Course), and has presented at various conferences (TESOL and CATESOL). She also has training in Crisis Management, and has been working with various organizations providing support to community members in crisis (San Francisco Suicide Prevention, Rape Crisis Center Las Vegas).
She joined the English Language Center at UNLV in 2014, and has since been teaching ENG 113 and ENG 114 courses.
