Coming from Atlanta, Ga., Evan Schroeder is very proud to be getting his MFA in Acting at UNLV. Schroeder unexpectedly came to acting after a director asked him to audition for a play while he was publicly playing the piano one day in 2024. His undergraduate degree is in politics, philosophy, and economics from Virginia Tech, where he graduated in May, 2026. Schroeder was the starting center back for the Virginia Tech Division 1 men’s soccer team in fall 2025, where they ranked as high as No. 8 in the country. He looks forward to combining his high-level sports mindset with his innate artistic drive to create great work alongside the amazing people at UNLV.
