Biography
Dr. Emily Hensleigh received her degree from UNLV in experimental psychology with an emphasis in neuroscience. Her interests include psychology and neurobiology of stress, brain circuitry, addiction and addiction circuits, neurotransmitter systems, and pharmacology. Her research started with animal models looking at the link between stress, addiction, and brain circuits, primarily the dopaminergic and GABAergic systems.
Dr. Hensleigh has taught courses in General Psychology and Biology, Pharmacology, Neuroscience, and instructs students in topics of Physiological Psychology, Psychology of Learning and Memory, Psychology of Pharmacology and Drugs of Abuse as well as many other current and future courses.
