Biography
Edward Co, DO, FACP, is the residency associate program director of the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV Department of Internal Medicine and the site director of the Veterans Affairs (VA) of Southern Nevada Resident Continuity Clinic.
A graduate of the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Co completed his internal medicine residency training at the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine and served as one of the chief residents of the program.
In 2023, Dr. Co started a primary care track within the medical school’s internal medicine residency program. This track, which he now oversees, prepares residents who are focused on specializing in and providing high-quality care in an outpatient setting.
Dr. Co's clinical interests include obesity medicine, point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS), and preventative care. His commitment to these areas ensures that residents receive comprehensive training that equips them with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their future careers.
Additionally, Dr. Co serves as the American College of Physicians (ACP) Wellness Champion for the state of Nevada, demonstrating his unwavering dedication to the well-being and professional fulfillment of his colleagues and the broader medical community. In recognition of his contributions to resident education, Dr. Co was also honored with the Outstanding VA Faculty Award in 2024.
