Biography

David C Williams is Adjunct Faculty in the UNLV Lee Business School Finance Department, where he teaches undergraduate courses related to entrepreneurship. He has been with the Department since 2009. Specific course titles have included "Managing New Venture Funding", "Entrepreneurial Finance" and the core required course "Principles of Managerial Finance". He has also taught an undergraduate Management course entitled, "International Entrepreneurship", as well as entrepreneurship and accounting/finance-related courses in the Boyd School of Law.

Outside of campus Mr Williams runs Explorateur Ventures, Ltd, a consultancy focused on advising international startup and growth entities. He has lived and worked in South America and Europe, and currently serves as the part-time Executive Director of the World Affairs Council of Las Vegas, and as Vice President of the Las Vegas chapter of the Risk Management Association.

Mr. Williams holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Accounting from the University of Kansas, and MBA in International Business and Finance from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas. He is a CPA in the states of Maryland and Nevada, and has passed Level I of the CFA Program.
