David Santiago is the electrical engineering lab director at UNLV and a Ph.D. student in electrical engineering. A proud Clark High School graduate, first-generation Hispanic engineer, and UNLV alumnus, he earned both his B.S. and M.S. in electrical engineering from UNLV. He is passionate about helping students see themselves in engineering through hands-on learning, mentorship, and accessible education. His technical interests include electronics, RF systems, integrated circuit design, communications, and signal processing. Outside of the lab, David enjoys photography, music, teaching, and giving motivational talks that encourage students to pursue their goals with confidence.
