Biography

Daniel Siciliano is a senior lecturer and Deloitte Faculty Fellow in the Department of Accounting at UNLV’s Lee Business School, where he has taught since 2012 following an accomplished almost 18-year career in industry. He teaches financial accounting, managerial accounting, and cost accounting, and also manages the department’s accounting internship program, helping connect students with top employers in the community.

Prior to joining academia, Siciliano held executive leadership roles at International Game Technology (IGT), including chief accounting officer, treasurer, and principal financial officer. At the time, IGT was a global leader in gaming technology and a member of the S&P 500. His responsibilities included capital markets transactions, SEC reporting, financial strategy, and relationships with commercial and investment bankers.

Siciliano began his career in public accounting with Deloitte’s Las Vegas office, where he spent seven years as an audit manager, serving clients in the gaming, real estate, banking, and nonprofit sectors.

He holds a BSBA in accounting and an MBA with a concentration in finance from UNLV, where he graduated first in his class and received the Centennial Medallion. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and Certified Management Accountant (CMA).

Siciliano has served as faculty advisor for numerous student case competition teams that have won multiple national championships. He has received UNLV’s most prestigious teaching honors, including the Spanos Award, the Lee Business School Teacher of the Year Award, CSUN Lee Teacher of the Year and the UNLV Foundation Distinguished Teaching Award. He remains committed to preparing the next generation of accounting professionals and leaders.
