Daniel R. Siciliano, CPA, CMA, is a senior lecturer, internship director, and Deloitte Faculty Fellow in the Department of Accounting at the UNLV Lee Business School. He holds both his Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in Finance and his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Accounting from UNLV.

Prior to his academic career, he accumulated nearly two decades of executive corporate leadership, beginning his career as an audit manager at Deloitte before serving as senior vice president of treasury and corporate finance, principal financial officer, chief accounting officer, and treasurer for International Game Technology (IGT). At IGT, a global leader in gaming technology, he directed cross-functional finance and accounting departments of up to 200 professionals and sourced over $5 billion in funding for IGT while maintaining the only investment grade balance sheet in the industry at that time.

Transitioning to academia, Siciliano has established himself as an award-winning educator and a vital link between the university and the business community. As internship director, he mentors 100 to 150 students annually, building key talent pipelines with local employers. A champion of student success, he has coached UNLV accounting teams to nine national championships in student case competitions, securing over $44,000 in student prize awards.

In recognition of his teaching excellence and institutional impact, he has received UNLV’s highest accolades. His honors include the university-wide Spanos Award for Outstanding Teaching and the UNLV Foundation Distinguished Teaching Award, alongside the Department in Honors Teaching Award, the R. Lee Brummett Exemplary Educator Award, Lee Business School Teacher of the Year, twice being named CSUN Faculty of the Year, and twice receiving the Lee Business School Service Faculty of the Year distinction. His unique synthesis of corporate experience and academic rigor uniquely prepares the next generation of accounting professionals for high-level career trajectories.
