Daniel (Danny) Hernandez is the service learning manager at the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV, where he supports medical students in meaningful service and community engagement opportunities throughout Southern Nevada. In this role, Hernandez oversees student participation in service initiatives, supports student leadership and development, and collaborates across the school of medicine on community engagement programming. He also supports the Well Connect Program, helping medical students connect individuals and families with essential community resources while strengthening students’ advocacy skills, cultural awareness, and understanding of community needs.

Born and raised in Las Vegas, Hernandez is deeply committed to serving his local community. He brings more than 10 years of experience in social services to his role, having previously served as an intensive case manager, housing supervisor, and social service coordinator. He completed a bachelor’s degree in psychology and criminal justice at UNLV.
