Biography

Daniel (Danny) Hernandez is the program manager for the Well Connect Program at the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV. Well Connect is a vital initiative that connects individuals and families to essential community resources like food, utility assistance, clothing, job training, and employment services. Under this program, medical students lead the effort, identifying available resources and providing personalized support to those in need. The experience not only ensures community members receive the assistance they deserve but also strengthens the students’ advocacy skills and cultural awareness.

Born and raised in Las Vegas, Hernandez is deeply committed to serving his local community. He is a committed leader in social services, bringing over 10 years of experience to his role, having previously served as an intensive case manager, housing supervisor, and social service coordinator. He completed a bachelor’s degree in psychology and criminal justice at UNLV.
