Damian Boldt is an assistant professor of political science at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Prior to joining UNLV, he was a postdoctoral research associate at the University of Virginia’s National Security Data and Policy Institute where he combined social science and big data to provide open-source analysis for government policymakers and industry partners. He received his doctoral degree in political science, majoring in international relations and minoring in comparative politics, from Florida State University in 2025. He received his bachelor's degree in political science from Southeastern Louisiana University in 2018.

His research and teaching broadly lie in the study of international relations. He is interested in understanding the dynamics of U.S.-China great power competition, international conflict, how regime transitions and democratic backsliding shape foreign policy, and the consequences of human rights diplomacy. His work has appeared in International Interactions.
