Damaris Aguirre joined the Office of Human Resources in October of 2017. She currently serves as the Compensation and Classification Manager for the University. In this capacity, she is a strategic partner in planning, developing, and implementing new and revised compensation/classification programs, policies and procedures to be responsive to UNLV’s goals and competitive pay practices. She is a professional with 10+ years in human resources. Her prior experience includes serving as the Assistant Director of Staff Personnel, overseeing multiple HR functions, at the UCLA Anderson School of Management. She holds a dual Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and International Development Studies from UCLA and has received formal certifications in Human Resources Management and General Business Management from UCLA Extension. Damaris is a Los Angeles native and is an avid traveler.
