Biography

Cynthia Nesbit has originated seven Off-Broadway roles and has toured in 44 states, China and Canada. She played the lead in her very first Off-Broadway production, as Ella, in A Band of Angels, directed by Colman Domingo (an Oscar nominee this year). 

Cynthia was named the “MVP” and “Standout” by the New York Times for her performance as Harriet Tubman in the Off-Broadway musical She Persisted: 13 American Women who Changed the World; adapted from the children’s book by Chelsea Clinton. She originated the role of Zuma in the first national and first international tours of Paw Patrol: LIVE! 

Cynthia is a former student of Sutton Foster and has sung for Broadway royalty at venues such as Joe’s Pub, 54 below, Birdland Jazz Club and at A.R.T./ New York’s annual gala. She is currently pursuing her M.F.A. in Performance at UNLV where she starred most recently as Cinderella in Cinderella: a Panto for Las Vegas. She can next be seen in Pride & Prejudice with the Nevada Conservatory Theatre. Cynthia received her B.F.A. in Musical Theatre from Ball State University and hails originally from Cincinnati, OH.
