Biography

As an alumnus of UNLV, Chuck Foley holds a bachelor's degree in communications, and a master of music in music technology from Southern Utah University, as well as a degree in electronic communications applications from RETS Electronics Schools.

Since joining the Music Technology program in the 1990s, Chuck has engineered countless recording sessions, and the studio has welcomed many distinguished and diverse musicians over the years, including Santa Fe and the Fat City Horns, The Righteous Brothers, Gladys Knight, R & B artist Ronnie Wilson of the Gap Band, Bill Champlain of Chicago fame, Marlena Shaw, Denise Clemente, Laura Taylor, classical and jazz recording artists, including Bob Rozario, and our own Virko Baley. The studio has turned out numerous CDs from the extremely talented faculty of UNLV and their students, many of which have gone on to win awards nationally and internationally.

In the early 2000s, he and colleague Gil Kaupp began to develop the courses that became a minor in music technology, and have now grown into the bachelor of arts in audio production technology here at UNLV.

As a professional musician, Chuck has performed with Legends In Concert, American Superstars, Enter the Night, Mamma Mia!, Human Nature, The Lon Bronson All-Star Band, Clint Holmes, Denise Clemente, Marlene Ricci, Junior Walker and the All-Stars, and the Sweet Caroline Tour band.
