Biography

Chris joined UNLV and the Howard R. Hughes College of Engineering Advising Center in 2011. In 2018, Chris took on the role of Director of Academic Advising and Scholarship Coordinator for the College of Engineering.  Additionally, Chris is part-time instructor for the Department of Civil Engineering and Affiliate Instructor for the Department of Entertainment Engineering, teaching undergraduate level courses.

Chris graduated from UNLV with a bachelor's and master’s degrees in civil engineering. Additionally, Chris’ has a degree is in business management from the University of Utah. Prior to joining UNLV, Chris spent many years in the construction and civil engineering profession as a project manager/structural engineer designing and managing multiple commercial and residential projects in Las Vegas and surrounding areas. 

Away from work you can find Chris volunteering with his wife at Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of Southern Nevada and other organizations in the valley.  Outside of volunteering Chris also enjoys working out, traveling with his wife, home improvement projects, of course the Las Vegas Golden Knights, and other sports especially college football and auto racing.
