My passion for research is centered on the statistical modeling and analysis for interdisciplinary research, which concerns with human and social betterment. For instance, point process and time series modeling with applications to the prediction of bank failures, earthquakes, mining accidents, college students’ binge drinking, methamphetamine related deaths, volcanic hazard, and radioactive waste repository disruption.
