Cheryl Bella assists the Department of Computer Science and cybersecurity professors with the administration of their programs including the CyberCorps Scholarship for Service program, UNLV’s GenCyber Camp, UNLV’s Cyber Clinic, and more.

UNLV has been designated as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Education (CAE-CDE) for its Information Assurance (IA) program. The goals of all of UNLV’s cybersecurity programs and efforts are to: reduce vulnerability in our national information infrastructure by promoting higher education and research in cyber defense; increase interest in cybersecurity careers; and help fill the nation’s gap of skilled cybersecurity professionals.

Programs and scholarship are supported and funded by national agencies and companies including: National Security Agency (NSA), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), National Science Foundation (NSF), Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), Small Business Administration (SBA), and the Google Cybersecurity Clinics Fund.
