Biography

Dr. Carola Raab received her doctoral degree in hospitality administration from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), following careers in the restaurant industry. She has also served on the faculty at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and the University of New Hampshire. Dr. Raab teaches Managerial Accounting, Cost Control, Operational Analysis and Revenue Management classes. In terms of scholarly endeavors, she is known for her research on Activity-Based Costing applied to restaurants and is sought after by researchers concentrating on cost control, and pricing and menu analysis topics. More recently, Dr. Raab has also conducted research on sustainability issues, revenue management and projects that evaluated the impact of affinity programs on customer loyalty. Dr. Raab presented her research at conferences held in the U.S., China, and Germany.
