Biography

Carly Pasquale serves as the Director of Clinical Operations at UNLV School of Nursing, where she provides strategic leadership and oversight for clinical education across both graduate and undergraduate programs. In this role, she collaborates extensively with local healthcare organizations, clinical preceptors, faculty, and students to coordinate, develop, and enhance high-quality clinical placements and experiential learning opportunities. In addition to her administrative responsibilities, Carly holds a faculty appointment as a Lecturer, contributing to the academic mission of the School through teaching, mentorship, and curriculum development.

Expertise

She is a Family Nurse Practitioner whose previous experience as a registered nurse spans interventional radiology, event-based critical care, emergency department nursing—including serving as an ER charge nurse—correctional healthcare, and medical-surgical nursing. She also has specialized expertise in de-escalation and crisis prevention, having provided training to nurses in inpatient settings to promote safe and effective responses to challenging situations

Classes Taught

She has experience teaching didactics and clinicals for NURS 425, clinical rotations for NURS 401 and NURS 313, and coordinating NURS 519 clinical.

Education Background

Carly earned her MSN-FNP from Touro University Nevada. She previously completed her BSN at Nevada State University, and her ADN from College of Southern Nevada.

Awards, Recognition, or Group Affiliations

Carly has been recognized for her excellence in nursing and leadership, receiving the Daisy Award in 2019, the Nevada Nurses Foundation Shining Stars of Nursing “50 Under 50” award in 2024, and, as part of the Clinical Operations team, the Dean’s Award for Outstanding Team in 2025. She has served as a board member with the Society of Clinical Placement Professionals and as a committee member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, Zeta Kappa Chapter.
