Biography

Since his college radio days at the University Of Pittsburgh, Brandon Glova, known as DJ Bonics, has always found a way to bring his love for music to the people. He learned to DJ in his dorm room and turned that passion into a lifetime career that has brought him around the world. DJ Bonics is a celebrated and award winning turntable technician, a veteran radio personality and programmer, he also is the official DJ and voice behind international recording artist Wiz Khalifa.

DJ Bonics describes himself as a person who is “passion in action.”  As a club DJ, Bonics has performed around the world and currently holds residencies in Las Vegas. He is also a two-time regional champion in the Red Bull 3 Style DJ Competition and has competed in the U.S Finals in 2010 and 2015.

DJ Bonics also has been heard on various markets as an on-air personality and programmer in such cities as Pittsburgh (96.1 Kiss), Philly (WRDW), LA (Power 106), NY (Hot 97), and Minneapolis (Go Radio).

When taking the stage with Wiz Khalifa, Bonics’ unmatched energy is a big part of the show. He has shared the stage with Wiz for over 15 years, playing such festivals as Coachella, Cannes Film Festival, and Governor’s Ball in NYC. He has also appeared on live television performances on Saturday Night Live, Dick Clark’s Rockin’ NYE, and Jimmy Fallon.

Perhaps the most impressive thing is Bonics’ connection with his community wherever he is. He is a proponent of independent artists and actively supports local music scenes. He has orchestrated charitable campaigns like “10,000 Hoodies for the 10,000 Lakes” where he raised awareness for homelessness while collecting over 7,000 hoodies/sweaters for those in need in the Minneapolis, MN area. He also raised almost $20,000 for the Salvation Army while rappelling from a 14 story building.

Bonics also has been a TV personality and seen on BET’s 106 and Park, MYPGH-TV and most recently a host for CW-Twin Cities. He continues to devote his time to TV commercials for the Salvation Army North.

Though he has had a vast 25 year career, Bonics claims that “he’s just getting started.” As a new member to the Las Vegas community, he’s found his way into UNLV’s KUNV as a host to his latest radio program “The Jazz Joint With DJ Bonics”
