Biography

Bunt is a Las Vegas based singer, director, and instructor. Notable roles include Tytania in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Zerbinetta in Ariadne auf Naxos, Le Rossignol in L’Enfant et les sortilèges, and Pernilla in Dan Shore’s The Beautiful Bridegroom.

On the other side of the stage, Bunt has served as director and stage manager for multiple opera companies, festivals, and workshops, and has directed operas, scenes, and plays at colleges and festivals. Recent directing credits include Noah’s Flood for Opera Las Vegas, Amahl and the Night Visitor and Cavalleria Rusticana/Pagliacci for Voccalis International Repertory, Beauty and the Beast for Red River Lyric Opera, and Hamlet for UNLV, sung to her own libretto.

Upcoming engagements include Edith in Sin City Opera’s Pirates of Penzance, staging the new work No Guarantees by composer Cynthia Wong at UNLV, Hansel and Gretel for Opera Las Vegas, as well as directing the musical It's a Grand Night for Singing in February 2019 for Voccalis International Repertory.

Bunt has worked for the University of Nevada, Las Vegas as an instructor in Music and Dance since 2012 teaching sections of private voice, Dance Kinesiology, and Sex, Dance, and Entertainment. Her academic interests include Opera History and Performance and Somatic Education such as Body Mapping, Yoga, and Pilates.
