Ariana Garcia joined the Academic Advising Team at the Greenspun College of Urban Affairs in 2022 as the Retention, Progression, and Completion Coordinator. She earned her bachelor’s degree in sociology at Washington State University, her master’s degree in counseling and career development at Colorado State University, and she is currently pursuing her doctoral degree at UNLV in Higher Education. Prior to joining the advising team, she worked on developing strategic initiatives, taught second-year seminar courses, and served as a liaison for different scholarship groups. Ariana is passionate about supporting students as they navigate college while supporting efforts for institutional advancement. In her spare time, she enjoys watching college football, trying new restaurants, skiing, and spending time with friends and family.
