Anjala S. Krishen, Ph.D.

Mel Larson Endowed Chair of Marketing

Anjala Krishen is an internationally-recognized scholar in marketing and consumer behavior and serves as the Mel Larson Endowed Chair of Marketing at Lee Business School at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Her research explores how individuals make decisions in complex digital environments, particularly at the intersection of consumer behavior, marketing analytics, and emerging technologies. By integrating insights from behavioral science and data-driven marketing, her work helps organizations better understand how consumers process information and respond to marketing communication. 

Krishen has published more than 90 peer-reviewed journal articles in leading academic journals including Journal of Business Research, Psychology & Marketing, and Journal of Advertising. Her interdisciplinary scholarship examines topics such as digital marketing, social media influence, artificial intelligence, sustainability narratives, and consumer decision-making. Her work has been cited more than 8,300 times by scholars worldwide, reflecting the growing influence of her research in marketing and consumer behavior. 

In addition to her research contributions, Krishen has held several leadership roles at Lee Business School, including director of MBA Programs, chair of the Marketing and International Business Department, and associate dean for Executive Education & Corporate Engagement. She currently serves as interim dean of Lee Business School. Through her scholarship, mentorship, and academic leadership, she continues to advance the school’s national visibility and impact.
