Anisa Pelayo
Program and Marketing Manager for the International Center for Gaming Regulation
Biography
Anisa Pelayo serves as the program and marketing manager at UNLV's International Center for Gaming Regulation. Additionally, she serves as the advisor to UNLV's American Indigenous Business Leaders chapter.
Previously, Pelayo worked as the marketing and public relations coordinator for the Indian Nations Gaming and Governance Program at the William S. Boyd School of Law. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with an emphasis in Marketing, from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
Pelayo has received numerous accolades throughout her career including, but not limited to: the 2026 Changemaker Award from the Utah Division of Indian Affairs, the United National Indian Tribal Youth's 25 Under 25 Award, Class of 2026, and UNLV's Outstanding Graduate for 2025, selected by UNLV President Chris Heavey. She co-founded Nevada's first American Indigenous Business Leaders chapter at UNLV in 2024 and served as its president for two years. Anisa is a citizen of the Cedar Band of Paiutes of the Paiute Indian Tribe of Utah, and is Nuwu (Southern Paiute) and Diné (Navajo).
