Biography

Anam has been in higher education for over twelve years and has been an academic advisor since 2014. She graduated with a BS in Biology and a BA in Psychology and completed her Master of Education in Early Childhood Education. During her undergraduate years, she was able to join several student organizations, go on a medical mission to Ethiopia, and worked as a student employee in various campus departments. As a first-generation college student, Anam knows firsthand the power of good advising and taking advantage of campus resources to achieve your dreams of successfully completing your degree. She loved her college years and now she loves working with college students.

Anam is passionate about working with diverse student population including, students of color, LGBTQIA students, students from low-income backgrounds, first-generation students, students with disabilities, DACA students, undocumented students, non-traditional students, Military Veterans, and English-language learners. Her desire is to assist students and help them achieve their academic and professional goals. She enjoys working with students and is here at your service.
